Although I’ve had a love and curiosity for wellness since I can remember, I didn't start out in the industry.
I’ve lived in New York City for 18 years — first working in fashion, then in the beauty industry — building brands, growing partnerships, and doing the whole ambitious-career-woman thing. And I loved it.
But behind the scenes? I was quietly at war with my own body.
I was the girl who tracked every calorie, did a detox after every vacation, crushed it at Soul Cycle, and stuck to 1,200 calories a day because that's what "being healthy" looked like. My friends called me "the healthy one." I thought I was winning.
I wasn't.
I was bloated, exhausted, anxious, and constantly on edge. I judged my body harshly when the scale crept up or my jeans felt snug. I picked myself apart every chance I got and felt completely disconnected from the one body I'd been given.
My AHA moment came when I was standing on the scale in my bathroom, newly postpartum with my first daughter, staring at the number, when it hit me— that number had been controlling my life for FAR too long.
I realized that no matter how many "superfoods" I ate, how many calories I burned, or what the number on the scale said, I had spent far too much time and energy worrying about my weight instead of just letting my body do its job.

The issue was never discipline. It was never motivation. It was never willpower. It was disconnection from my body.
And in that moment, standing on the scale, I made it my mission to find a simpler way.
So, what did I do? I stopped following everyone else's rules and started listening to my own body.
I started listening to my body’s feedback and made small changes to what I ate, how I moved, and how I talked to myself. I trusted my body's guidance over whatever expert or trend was loudest that week.
Really, I started realizing that my daily choices were affecting how I felt, not just how I looked.
And those small, intuitive daily choices turned out to be so much more powerful than the big, drastic overhauls I'd been white-knuckling my way through for years.
And the results? They speak for themselves.
Because one day, I realized…
I had sustainable energy that lasted all day
I felt at home in my body for the first time
My clothes fit in a way that felt amazing
I felt strong, capable, and genuinely happy
Eating out was enjoyable again, not stressful
I stopped thinking about food all the time
I had found my healthiest weight, and it had happened naturally
But mostly, I felt proud that I had found a simple, sustainable approach to wellness that actually felt great. A way I can teach my three daughters so they don't have to unlearn diet culture like I did. A way that focuses on health — and yes, even weight — far beyond the scale.
